An intelligent house renovation doesn’t always mean adding extra floor area — but it can completely transform how a home feels. Many older Sheffield properties have awkward layouts that no longer suit modern family living. Kitchens are often tucked away, and unused “dead zones” gather clutter instead of contributing to the flow of daily life.
At this Sheffield home, we reimagined the existing layout to create a bright, open-plan kitchen-diner where the family can cook, eat, and spend time together. By removing the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room and replacing a small window with sliding doors, the new design floods the space with natural light and provides direct access to the garden — perfect for indoor-outdoor living.
This Sheffield house extension project is due to start on site soon, and we’re excited to see these modern renovation plans come to life. It’s a great example of how smart design can unlock extra space without needing an extension — just clever rethinking of what’s already there.
